1970s Soul
Happy February! The 1970's brought a lot of polyester and platform heels. This is actually a very old piece that I've just revamped. I liked the pose but parts of it--especially from the neck up--had to be redone. I'm happy with the results.

A Year of Love
Only the second month, and 2013 is already turning out to be an improvement over last year. Here's my piece for February. A shy little girl working up the courage to confess her adoration. Let's all make this an awesome year!

Raincoat Girl Modelsheet
Modelsheet of a character from my children's storybook concept. I decided to pick up my markers after watching them collect dust for a few years.

A Year of Celebration
Time flies way too fast these days. January's already almost over! I'd better get to coloring the February drawing soon.

Dipper and Mabel Wish You a Merry Christmas!
I've been watching Gravity Falls recently. When I
first heard about, it had been years since I'd watched anything on the
Disney Channel. So I was very uninterested, until I watched the first
five minutes. If you haven't seen it yet, definitely check it out!Maybe now tacky 80s sweaters will make a comeback.

Pixie
This is an old illustration but one that I'm quite fond of. She's supposed to be some sort of a wood sprite. My first "nudie" too-although everything has been carefully censored. :) I've started on a couple of Christmas card designs that I plan to give out to friends and family. I'll be posting those for anyone to download and give to their loved ones.

Back on the scene...and sticking to it.
I know it's been awhile. Long story short, I picked up my things and fled Hawaii as quickly as possible. I went through a really rough patch there and I had to get it all behind me. Now that I'm in San Francisco, I'm starting fresh. It's a new chapter in my life and I'm getting serious about doing what I want to do the rest of my life. Which is art.
Here are my new business cards. Should've made the text larger but it's definitely an improvement over my last set.
Laters!
Janine
