1970s Soul

Belle of the Ball

I know I haven't updated in awhile, even though I have been drawing a lot. I haven't had much time to refine anything lately. Basically I don't want to dump only a bunch of sketches onto this blog. I'm not a huge fan of how this illustration turned up, but it's alright for a first try at a sexy/pinup character.

From Nippon

I live in Waikiki--yes THAT Waikiki, where at least half of our visitors are Japanese. Half of them are ladies, and about a quarter of them wear sun hats. The urge to draw one came to me, and here is the result. Not my best piece, but I experimented a bit with textures and like what I came up with.

Loopy Lupe

Something I drew in a coffee shop the other day and like enough to color it. She was supposed to look a little crazy, but I kind of lost some of that during the coloring process.
