Happy Halloween

I know it's a bit early, but there's no telling when I'll get internet access again. I have a good excuse for posting so late. I had a crazy move to Waikiki and we're currently stuck without internet. Hopefully, once we have our financial situation straightened up I can get back online.

Happy Halloween! Eat lots of candy! Make sure you wear a costume!

Twinkle

I felt like doing something simple with Illustrator's shape tool. So, I chose stars! I'm not too happy with the moon. In the future, I may come back to this piece and fix it.

Good niiight.

Local artists are cool.

Friday was pretty cool because I got to meet a fellow artist who lives in Oahu. I stopped at a new store at the mall called Split Obsession. They sell vinyl toys, indie clothing, and all that kind of cool stuff. Their website is http://www.splitobsession.com/.

That's where I met Candace. She was really nice and informative on what it takes to create your own original merchadise. Her designs are printed on t-shirts or made as earrings and are sold at the store. I checked out her website, and found even more stuff that I liked. http://supergoodforyou.com/ I highly recommend checking it out. Especially if you're a sucker for cute stuff like I am. :3

Thankfully, meeting Candace encouraged me to keep doing what I love. So...keep doing what you love folks!

Girly Web Thingy

The truth is out. I'm really into gaming. I'm also trying to practice my web design and build my online portfolio. The problem is whenever, I tried to work on designing something I'd nitpick on every detail. So I realized if I were going to complete anything, I'd have to create a fun website, something I relax with and not worry about it being perfect. So I thought, why not create a humorous website about anime and gaming?
This is the index page I've completed. I don't know about the little character on the bottom left. He's supposed to be a cute caricature of Ryu from Street Fighter. I may have to put him on another page or just delete him altogether.

Did I mention I'm not nerdy?

walking with myself

Sorry for the late update. For the past two weeks, I've been really busy helping my parents move out of their house and substitute teaching. I've pretty much finished this girl, but there is supposed to be a friend with her. I'll try to add him soon. After this piece, I'll be working in Photoshop again for the first time in awhile.

Tangy Specks

On my old blog, I uploaded a series of anime characters with interesting hair of different colors. Here's orange, the latest of the series. I'll reupload pink since it's my favorite, but the others need a little tweaking first. Unlike the others, this one was done in Flash. I just learned that for fancier shapes, it's better to work in Flash than Illustrator.

I really like the freckles. I added them at the last minute.

Teeny Girl

This is a cute little character that appeared on my sketchbook one day. I'm really digging her pigtails. I hope to color her soon, and maybe create some friends for her to play with. As a matter of fact, I may have to put her in a story.

Just use gel.

I have crazy big hair. It never does what I want it to do, and it always gets in my boyfriend's face. One day, he said, "Your hair attacks me every night." I thought that was a good idea for a character. So I created this girl who literally has hair with a mind of its own. If you look carefully, you'll see it's forming the shape of a sinister hand. :) I drew in a style I normally don't use. It's almost Tim Burton-ish. Almost.
I hope to do more with her. I want to create more characters from her world, but first I think I'd better name her.

Face in the soda

This is what I was talking about. See the faces? I know I'm not crazy! :) Special thanks goes out to my boyfriend who has an unhealthy obsession with soda.

Sad, Happy, Happy, Sad

First up is the weirdest thing I've ever made. I was inspired by, believe it or not, the plastic used for the Pepsi 6 bottle packs. I'll have to get a picture of it so that you can see what I mean. I loved these guys so much, that I had to use one for my profile image.

A New Beginning

Welcome to my brandspanking new blog! I know brandspanking is an overused term but hey, I'm too excited to be original right now. This blog is where I will upload all of my work: animation, sketches, drawings, illustrations, designs, etc. Every once in awhile I may upload something random as well, like a photo of Hawaii which is where I live.
I hope you enjoy looking around. Feel free to drop me a line. :D
